Maybe........ depends on how much I really loved the name and if there was another name that I came close to loving just as much but wasn't as popular. I think I might use it for a middle name instead of a first name if it were the case.... but just depends... I can't say yes or no for sure!

Thats the dilemma I have with Tyler. Everyone tells me its tooooo popular but honestly I dont know a single Tyler and never hear anyone being called tyler when I go places so it cant be all that popular in my area. I actually hear more Jadens (my ds name) than tyler.
I am going to name my son either Tyler or Justin...we will see when he is here what one he looks like the most.

It would depend on whether it was popular among my circle of friends and family or just among the general poulation but not so much people I know. Someone mentioned Tyler - which is very popular, but I only know 1 child named that, and he's 7 and spells it different - so I would use that - even though it is technially more popluar than Aidan, of which I personally know 4 that are babies and know there are a few in my childs preschool - so I wouldn't use that. I might still use it as a middle name though if I really liked it.

I think that all of the names that were once considered unusual and unpopular are becoming more popular, and the ones that used to be popular are taking a back seat, am I making sense? lol..

Its hard to find a name that no one has heard of before, and its hard to say if there is going to be a child with the same name as yours in their class, school, area, etc..

Personally, I used to care but now I don't think I will consider it so much. Just because there are so many names that I love that are way more popular now then they would've been two years ago when I liked them the same..

Hard to say though because I don't want my child to have the same name as five other girls/boys in their class.

Yes, I actually love the more popular and "older" names... For boys names we have picked out Jack, Josh and Matthew... (go figure).. Jack was our favourite and we actually settled on that before finding out we are having a girl but, it's getting really popular again in our area for boys... I still love the name, and would use it in a second..

No. I wouldn't. I don't like popular names. There are too many Madisons, Jacobs, Matthews, Isabelles, Micheals, etc.

Nope. I wouldn't want my child to be "Grace B." for her whole educational career.

absolutely if I really loved the name, although I'd probably pair it with a more unusual middle name
