So.... Looking for a super feminine middle name. Because of last name and our first name ideas (but I doubt we'll agree on a first name for a LONG time), I am hoping for single syllable, but it doesn't HAVE to be single syllable.

So far, the ones I find to be feminine are also those that are used SOOOO often and to me, make them more "filler" names

Grace
Lynn
Lee (any spelling)
Anne

I also thought of Liz, which is OK but not great, and Faith, which is also OK, not super great for me. Oh, and DD2's mn is May, so that's out

One last challenge: while it doesn't have to be an L name, I'd like to explore this more

Any help for an unmistakably feminine middle name?

I really like Paige, Jade, June, Claire and Pearl, as one syllable names. It is more than one syllable but I love Evangeline as a middle name too I couldn't think of any good L ones.

These are the only one syllable L names I could think of:

Laine
Lux
Liv

Other one syllable name ideas:

Claire
Joy
Eve
Hope
Belle
Jewel
Elle
June
Paige
Brynn
Rose
Kate
Sage

I think the spelling Leigh looks the most feminine of the options. Are you completely sold on the one syllable part?

Not completely on the one syllable It seems to flow better, as first names we're mostly drawn to are 2 syllable and last name is 2 syllable... but DD1 has a 2 syllable mn, too, and it flows OK, I just don't think it flows as well as the other 2, both of whom have a 1 syllable mn.

But, yes, the option's open

And thank you for the list! I'm jotting down names :thankyou:

Yeah I know what you mean Most of the middle name options I like are one syllable too - we have 2 syllable last name and I think that makes a big difference

Hope you find a name you love!

Finding short L names is hard! I couldn't find any that you hadn't already found but here are some other short, feminine names.

Eve
Fay/Faye
Joan
Kate
Kay
Wren

Thanks, ladies! I'm mulling these all over. I actually may be swayed to Grace with my original name choice, as I do love the meaning and the sound to it. I figure, if the first name is different, I guess it's OK that the mn is quite popular
