We are 99% sure we are naming our baby girl Hayley (due July 2nd) but i continue to worry about the spelling. It seems like "Hailey" is the most common way to spell it and I do really like it that way but I also like Hayley. Depending on the spelling will also probably affect the middle name. Here's what we have in mind:

Hailey Nicole
or
Hayley Madelyn
or
Hailey Siobhan

I think the 'i' spelling looks better with our son's name (Eli Jameson) But by itself I think the 'y' spelling looks better lol. I blame the pregnancy hormones!

What do you think looks the best??

I don't want to make it more difficult but here are some other spellings to consider:

Haylee
Haileigh
Hayleigh
Haley

For the two you already mentioned, consider that Hailey is more common so if you want it to be more rare, go with Hayley.

I do like Nicole best for a middle name.

My niece is Hali and it's a pretty name

I actually prefer the Hailey of your two choices. I think the Hayley looks a bit off, for some reason

I like the Hailey spelling best Changing it to a less common spelling doesn't' make the name less common... just makes it more likely to be mispelled. I do agree that Hailey and Eli look better together than Hayley and Eli

My favorite spelling is Haleigh, but I think Hailey goes better with Eli than Hayley

I prefer Hailey.

I also tend to pronounce them differently, depending on how they are spelled. Hailey is "hail-ee" and Hayley is "hay-lee"

Hailey definitely looks better on its own AND with Eli.

I like Hailey Siobhan.
