It's definitely risen in popularity. I read somewhere it was a Biblical name. I had no idea (and it may not be, that could have been waaay off) because it sounds so modern to me.

NMS, but just because of all the Ashley's, Ashton's in our area.

I like it. I also like Afton. I tried to name #3 Afton but dh didn't like it.

We were thinking of naming DS Ashton but eventually changed it. So I would have to say yes I do like it.
