A talon is a big sharp claw. Many birds such as eagles have talons. I just can't see it as a name. Maybe. I don't hate it. And I can't figure out if its better for a boy or girl. Both has downfalls. But that's analytical me. If you love it go for it!

It's nms but I have met a guy named Talon before. I think it's suppose to come off powerful but it just doesn't have that feel for me.

as a boy, it's alright. it does sound more masculine. i feel it works well for a girl because you could nickname as Tally and to me, that's feminine. so it could really go wither way.

My BFFs friend named her son Talon. It was a combination of two names (I forget which two, but family names). He was a royal brat. And his mom barely paid two licks of attention to him. So, I have some negative connotations with that name. Lol.

Thanks for all the input. I just found out I am having my fourth son who is due in Jan. but I am pretty sure will come in December. His father's middle name is Allen and he was hinting to using Allen but I am not too keen on Allen so we talked about using Talon as a possible middle name. Naming this baby is sooo much harder than the first three boys. I have been over boy names for a few years now and I just don't feel a connection with one yet. I have a few ideas but nothing is really grabbing me.

How about using Allen as a middle name? That's what I did with my son. I think Allen would make a great middle name as long as you are careful with the initials
