I'm looking for some honest opinions about the girl name we're thinking about. When I bring it up to family and friends they all seem to make a face and then tell me how pretty it is I can't decide if they honestly like it or not. I'm very into unique names and I'm pretty in love with this one, but I want to get some honest opinions about it before we make a decision. Anyway, what do you think about the name Aarylin pronounced "air-ah-lynn"?

this sounds very lord of the rings to me, but that's just fine because i seriously considered Eowyn for my daughter.

as for Aarylin, i LOVE the sound of it, but not so much the spelling. i'd prefer Aarilyn. Aarilyn seems easier to guess the right pronunciation. when i saw it Aarylin, i thought AIReelynn.

hope this helps?

I agree with Ducks as well......

Aarylin looks like, "Airy lin" so people will be saying it wrong, and you'll always be correcting them. I'd spell it Aralynn, or Airalynn.....something like that. Spell it phonetically how you want it said, and there won't be as much confusion. Although no matter how you spell it, you'll always be telling people how to spell it as well......

That being said......it has a pretty sound, and I like unique names too. I really like it!

Love it but agree with the others on the spelling. I would definitely pronounce it wrong.

Honestly, the name is nice. I am not much for names that end in lyn, either. I prefer the above spelling that Momtothe6thpower suggested.

It very pretty and different. I do like it.

But like the others, would prefer a different spelling. I think Airalyn is most phonetic. But Aralyn is nice too.
