What do you think of the name Kai, for a boy? Rhymes with "guy."

What MN would you pair with Kai?

Not my style, only because I like 2 syllables, however I do like it as my daughter is Kaiya.

I like it. DH and I are considering Kyler for a boy, and we've talked about nicknaming him "Ky." (The background is that I really like the name Tyler, but DH doesn't because I have a friend named Tyler that he doesn't like. However, DH really likes Kyler for some reason.)

I love Kai!

Kai Alexander hit me first. I would pair a longer MN with it.

I really like Kai. In fact, I really like lots of one-syllable first names. Too bad they sound awful with our last name. Lol.

I agree that it needs a longer middle name to balance it out. Kai Benjamin, Kai Remington, Kai Nathaniel, etc.

Our son has a one syllable first name, so we went with a two syllable middle name. It would also sound better if your last name consisted of two or more syllables as well. I love the name Kai. Its on the "trendy names of 2014" list so its gaining some popularity. Still pretty unique though!
