What do you think, honestly? I love it, but a lot of friends are trying to talk me out of it by saying it's outdated and not feminine enough. I think of it more as a modern classic, and I'm not a super fan of frilly names so it doesn't bother me that it's not uber femme.

I'd like to name her after my mom --Kim Marie. Which do you prefer:

Erin Kimberly
Erin Marie

I think Erin is modern enough. I say Erin a little different from Aaron so it's girlish enough.

I like Erin Marie.

I have always liked Erin. I think it's a very feminine name. I also say it differently than Aaron (Err-in versus Air-on), so Erin doesn't seem the same at all.

I personally like Erin Kimberly better. Mostly because I've always seen Marie as a "filler" middle name (meaning it just sounds good with everything so people use it instead of picking a name after someone, etc). But I do think both flow very well and since it's after your mom, the filler aspect doesn't apply.

Plus, I think Audrey and Erin sound like a very classy sister set.

I think it is a nice name. I did say Erin and Aaron out loud and I cant hear a difference in them but that is probably my accent.

It's definitely feminine enough. Never understood the whole Erin and Aaron thing. They sound completely different!

I love Erin. Beautiful name.

My sister is Erin Elizabeth and my best friend is Erin Rae so I think Erin is a wonderful choice!

I don't care for Erin, Kimberly or Marie, but I think either Kimberly or Marie works with Erin.

As far as the feminity of Erin, it's the common feminine spelling of the name, so I'm not sure why your friends take issue (I dunno why they take issue at all...it's your baby!).

Erin is nice. I absolutely love Aaron, my youngest was going to be Aaron for 3 months of my pregnancy but I just couldn't get passed hearing "Erin" every time I said his name so we went with something else. on paper it was fine, but to say it aloud was weird for me. so I guess what I am saying is Erin is definitely feminine enough.
