He didn't *really* steal it... he had no idea that hubby and I had chosen it, even though we'd actually decided on it (along with a girl's name, just so we had one of each ready when the time came) last year. His g/f is about 9 weeks ahead of me and after their gender scan revealed a boy, they started telling people their name of choice. Imagine our surprise when we realized we had picked the same boys' name.
So, alas, there will not be a baby Trent in my future. I am praying for a girl anyway, but I'm back to square one on boys' names and could use some suggestions. I know I have lots of time to think about it, and picking this early is silly, but I like to have things all nailed down and figured out ahead of time.
I like things that are rare without being too unusual (my first name is 'unique', but in a bad way, and I don't wish the same fate on anyone). I would hate for my kid to be one of two or three in his class, so no Matthews, Michaels, etc.. I'm also not really interested in any of the trendy new names (Grayson, Lincoln, that type of thing.)
Right now we're thinking Brock, but it's not quite getting the same feelings as Trent did. Either way, please feel free to shoot me any and all of your suggestions! Thanks in advance for your help!
