You guys, I'm in love with this name. I want to add it to our running list. So far we have
Aurora Mae and Charlotte Emilia on our list for the next baby we have (TTC now). DH isn't totally sold on adding Carolina Simone to the list but I LOVE it. I am a huge South Carolina Gamecock fan. This name would be so perfect not to mention the awesome nn potentials.
But the one catch is that we might one day move to South Carolina...would it be weird to have a kid named Carolina, living in S. Carolina?

Until reading the whole post I was pronouncing it Caro-LEEN-ah.

I don't think it would be a problem having the name Carolina and living in one of the states. Names like Carolina, Georgia, Viginia etc are very well known.

I wouldn't find that weird at all. I LOVE that whole name!

Like the Carolina Simone a lot.

It's not too weird to have that as a name and live in SC. There are plenty of Savannah who live in Savannah, GA and plenty of Jackson who live in Jacksonville, FL or NC. Logan in Loganville, GA, etc.

I knew a woman named Carolina..she pronounced it like above (care-oh-LEEN-ah). I think it's pretty either way. Nor do I think it's weird if you end up living in S. Carolina. My brother is named after a major city we have been to. And my cousin is named after a month. I don't think any of it is strange.

First of all I love the name combo. Second I don't think it would be weird at all. There are many people names after places and it's just normal.

Thank you ladies for all the input! As it turns out, I got a BFP and am expecting in December! So now I really do get to pick a name!!! I'm so excited. I still LOVE Carolina Simone. DH is still loving Charlotte nn "Charlie" and we both still like Aurora Mae..so we'll have decisions to make, unless it's a boy!
