Would it be odd to name this baby Emilia if I already have a Mia. My daughter Mia is short for Maria, but does that take Emilia off the table since Mia is also a nn for that or for Amelia? Would it be weird to have a Mia and an Emilia? Does that break any rules?
My DH's grandmother's name was Emma Mae, which is super cute, but with the common-ness of Emma we were thinking of something like Emilia instead but now I'm unsure since we have a Mia...
I still love Carolina Simone as well, so we'll see.....

I don't think it breaks any rules. What's the nickname going to be for Emilia? Emmy and Mia would be so cute.

Personally, I don't automatically associate "Mia" with Emilia...I associate an "Em" nickname instead (Emmy, Em, Emma). I don't think it's strange. Especially wit Mia's full name being so different.

Ok, awesome! Thanks so much ladies! Just wanted to make sure people weren't going to be thinking "Oh wow, she named two kids essentially the same thing...like Bill and William." I feel better now.

I think if you have something else to use as a nn for Emilia that doesnt sound like Mia, you are totally fine. I also dont think Mia right away for Emilia.

Personally I wouldn't use Mia and Emilia together. Of course it doesn't break any rules but I think they are too close. Love Emma Mae though!
