Oh please someone have a wonderful idea that will work. SO and I do NOT agree on names.

Here is some of what I like:
Akiva
Ella
London
Jalynn
Jocelin
Ava

Some of what Ben likes
Betty
Molly
Cecil
Francis
Iris
Louise
Peggy
Julie
Patti
Gloria
Olivia
Rose
Stacy
Jasmin
Aubrey

The ONLY one we both are good on is Ella, but I can tell he does not LOVE it - and I wanted to have a couple names picked out, and choose one at birth... at this rate, I'll be lucky to have ONE.
Can anyone tell what our "styles" are and give suggestions we may both like???
THANKS LADIES!!!

I don't have any name suggestions, but your list is WAY better. Your DH sounds like you're giving birth to 80 year old women....

How about Eva?

I can't really tell what your SO's naming style is--he is definitely all over the place liking some really outdated names and then some that are popular right now. Your taste seems to be a more modern.

The good thing is that you both agreed on Ella. That is a good starting point. Keep that one on hand as a good middle name to fall back on & keep searching for a first name you both can live with. If both of you still cannot come to an agreement, I think it would be best to use the name that at least one of you is in love with INSTEAD of trying to compromise with a name neither of you really like. (Then let the responsibility for naming child #2 fall to whoever didn't get to pick the name for child #1).

I like the names London, Ella, Jocelyn, and Ava from your list. From Ben's list, I like Iris, Olivia, and Jasmine. I like Julia (instead of just Julie).

Good luck!!!

You seem to like more modern or trendy names and he seems to like old lady names.

Good luck!

Well, since you like more modern names, and he likes older names, how about:

Arabella- It's an older classic, but has that modern vibe with the Ella ending.
Cecily- prn. Sess-illy, like Cecil but with again with a modern vibe.

Instead of Ava, how about Eva? It's much less popular and more of a classic.

Since you both like Ella, how about a name with Ella in it and use it as a nn?

Gabriella
Daniella
Isabella
Arabella
Annabella

Hope I helped!

LMAO - you and Ben are just like me and my DH!

I swear, I could have written that post.

The names we finally have narrowed down:

Isis
Amalie
Avery
Azelyn (like Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia)

Once i figured out that as long as it was more mythical and whatever, then hed be more easily persuaded, then it was easier (but not EASY) lol.

He also liked Trinity (Matrix lol).

Lala...
