First of all, I'd like to say "Hi"! I post of the TTC #1 boards but wandered over here for some advice. DH and I have been TTC for 2 months and along with TTC come baby name discussions. I wanted to get some input:

Boys:
Jackson/Jaxon- which spelling?
Sawyer
Owen
Brady

We are in discussions about using Harlan as a mn for our first boy. Both my grandpa's and one of Dh's grandpas has that name as do both of our dad's have that name (all living)! Crazy! The spellings differ Harlyn/Harland, but to be impartial to each male, I changed the spelling again! I am not crazy about the name, but it's a good way to honor many of the men in our life!

Girls:
Annika
Maya (we went to the Riviera Maya for our honeymoon- thought it would be cute)
Eva (great grandma's name)
Olivia

Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks a ton ladies!

Hi *waves* Lots of luck to you TTC. I really like your style of names.

Boys:
Jackson/Jaxon- which spelling? - I like this alot. Jaxon is the more contemporary spelling I think but I pefer Jackson
Sawyer - Love, love love this name!
Owen - classic, really like this never goes out of style
Brady - very cute, I also like Brody

Harlan;
Bizarre thing is I just heard this name for the first time last night. Spelt Harland but it sounded like Harlan when spoken. I really like it and it's a wonderful way of honouring so many members of your respective families.

Girls:
Annika - yep, I like this. I knew twin girls called Annika and Anoushka
Maya (we went to the Riviera Maya for our honeymoon- thought it would be cute) - cute, like the meaning behind it
Eva (great grandma's name) - classic, like it
Olivia - I used to love this but have gone off it somewhat recently, but still it's a very strong yet feminine name

Hello & Welcome!

Of your boy list, I like Jackson (spelled this way) and I love Brady (my nephew's name!) I wouldn't change the spelling of Jackson, but if I had too... I'd probably use Jaxson. Jaxon look imcomplete to me, don't know why. Jaksen is another, but looks kinda trendy. Harlan would make a wonderful middle name, I bet the males in the family would love that you would be honoring them!
Jackson Harlan doesn't flow as well as Brady Harlan though, because both of the names end in the "n" sound.

Of your girl names, I like Olivia the best... and Eva is pretty too, though I prefer Ava. Good Luck!!!

My favorites are Brady Harlan (if you are going to use Harlan as a middle name) because I don't think names ending in n sound as good with a middle name also ending in n.
For a girl my favorite is Maya.

Sending baby dust your way

Jackson/Jaxon- which spelling?- Not crazy about it...it's becoming very over used. LOVE the name Jack though! I prefer the Jackson spelling
Sawyer- Don't care for it
Owen- Cute
Brady- NMS, I prefer Brody

Annika- NMS
Maya- pretty but really popular
Eva-LOVE!! I love it as a nn for Evangeline too
Olivia-Again, pretty but really popular

I like Owen and Eva best...good luck!

Thanks a ton for the feedback! I will have to show DH this post- I like Jackson and he likes Jaxon- so he will see more people agree with me! We would call him Jack anyway most likely.
Also thanks for the positive vibes with Harlan. I am still not totally sure (we have time to decide anyway!) but it just works because so many people in our family have that name.

I like:

Boys:
Jackson (I much prefer over Jaxon)
Sawyer

Girls:
Annika
Maya
Eva
Olivia (I like this name, however it's extremely popular where I live)

If you want your son to go by the nickname "Jack," choose the spelling "Jackson." If you want to go by the nickname "Jax," name him Jaxon. If you want him to be called the whole name all the time, then it doesn't matter. I think the former spelling is more traditional and the latter spelling is trendier.

We would go with the nn Jack because our last name is Smith (I know, original!!). DH thinks Jax Smith is great, I don't think it flows well at all. Jack Smith is better!

Ummm Jax Smith is sooo hard to say lol! It sounds just like Jack Smith unless you go out of your way to enunciate the 2 names seperately...
