talking over names the other night- DH mentioned a pro football player, last name of colon... first name harry! harry colon!! come on parents!!
girl: this is not even funny. Named Crystal Shanda... seems normal right

I've heard Chanda Leer as a urban legend actually...
Worst name I ever heard had to be a girl I went to H.S. with named...wait for it.....Punani

You all heard that Jason Lee named his (now toddler) son: Inspektor Pilot
I don't know why he hates his son.
Though I heard Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller) did something equally awful for his daughter, but I can't remember what.

The worst name I've ever heard growing up was a boy in high school with the name: Ocean Island House.

Other way around, it's Pilot Inspektor - but equally as bad either way!
Penn Jillette's daughter is Moxie Crimefighter. That's a crime right there, poor girl.

Phyre (fire) and Heavenlee-Angel Skye are the names of two infants in our family (DH's side).... I think they are horrible!!!!!!!!!
I have a relative, born in the 1880s who was never given a first name... she was always referred to as Girl Day (Day is the last name) Well, when she started school the teacher asked her what her name was... she said she didn't have one, so the teacher asked her what she wanted to be called. She said "Well, I've heard about California and I'd love to go there sometime" so the teacher said, ok... your name is California. California Day LOL Crazy, but this was in the late 1800s! (true story, I promise) Cali would be kinda cute, but not California LOL

I've heard soooo many bad ones working in early intervention. The worst are: Velveeta (yes like the cheese), Meconium (I don't know WHAT they were thinking!), Nook (like breakfast nook), Eson (Mom's name was Erica so he was E's son), Semaj (James backwards), and that's all I can remember right now.
