Growing up in the 1980s, I had a ton of Jennifer's in my class, always.

Is the name still very popular?

Do you like the name?

I also grew up during the 80s and knew a lot of Jennifers. I just checked another website that said in the 80s Jennifer was at its peak and was the #2 name. I personally have not met any little girls born after the 90s with the name of Jennifer BUT the website said that for 2005 "Jennifer" was the #42 name so it's still being used a lot but not like it used to be.

I like the nickname Jenny better than I like Jennifer. I also like the name Jenna better than Jennifer. Maybe it is just b/c I grew up knowing so many Jennifers. It's a good name, just not my style.

As a teacher I really can't think of a single Jennifer that I know of at our school! I know plenty of adults named Jennifer.

I'm not a fan of the name.

I haven't met any Jennifer's lately. The last time I did was about 3 years ago. I don't really like it myself.

As a Jennifer and knowing a ton of them I think the name was way over used in the 80's. But I don't know one single person who has named their daughter that in the last 10 years.

I read recently that it is the only girls name that has stayed in the top 10 for the last 20 years. I don't know any infants or kids with this name right now though. It doesn't seem to be as hugely popular as it was in the past. I really like it.

As a Jennifer myself, I don't really care for the name. I went by Jennie for a while but since high school I've just been Jenn. My parents claim they didn't know it was so popular when I was born (1978)--uh, the SIX other babies in the nursery named Jennifer didn't tip you off!?!

I have never heard a little girl named Jennifer lately though, although I have heard Jenna (which I like a lot better).

So what am I, like the 100th Jennifer to answer this question?

UGH! I hate the name, always have. Way way too overused. I go by Jenni, and even that sometimes feels like it's too overused. I do like Jenna, and used it a lot during my high school years.

JMO

ETA- I was born in 1982...
