We are currently looking at the names Emma and Avery. I really love Emma, but I'm worried about its popularity. I don't want my daughter to be one of 5 Emma's in school. Our first daughter's name is Ellie. Here are some combinations I've come up with. What do you think? Any suggestions?
Avery Rose
Avery Elise
Avery Noelle
Avery Grace
Emma Rose
Emma Noelle
Emma Madelyn
*I like Noelle b/c I'm due christmas eve!!

I like both names, they're actually both on my list. I like the middle name Noelle with both.

I love both names, but you're right that Emma is super popular right now. Personally, I would choose Avery. I love all of the middle names!

I like both names and love the idea of using Noelle as the middle name because of when you are due. Cute!

I don't care for unisex names at all and I would never use one. My cousin's name is Avery (he's a boy).
ETA: So, I would go with Emma for sure. It's VERY popular but very cute.

I prefer Avery (spelled Avarie or Avareigh) over Emma. I also think that Emma and Ellie are very similar. If you don't mind the popularity and you love Emma, go for it though. Avery is a unisex name, I'm not sure if you care about that or not though. If you do use Avery, I'd pair it with a very feminine middle name.

Well I'd say Emma, but I'm kinda biased, as that is my babys name! But I say Avery sounds much better with your daughters name of Ellie. Ellie and Avery, aw nice sibset! Favorite is Avery Grace, then Emma Noelle.

I like Emma but I agree it's very popular and it's pretty close to your first daughters name. I really really like Avery (unfortunately DH didn't). I think Avery Elise is really pretty. BTW I like the spelling Avori if you're looking to make it unique

This is a weird conicidence. Our current favorite is Emma for our girl. However, my DH is still stuck on Avery and will bring Avery up constantly as another option. I like Avery, but not as much as I like Emma. So, I'm kind of biased there! But they are both great names. I've known one little girl named Avery and one little boy named Avery. And if you are due Christmas Eve than I would go with Noelle for either Avery or Emma. I love that idea! I also really like Emma Madelyn, that's a MN we've considered for Emma too. Like you, I am worried about Emma's popularity. However, I just came to the conclusion that if it is truly our favorite, we can't settle for anything else. As the ONLY Ann ever in my schools, there was always a part of me that wanted to be another Sarah or Jennifer to blend more in with everyone else, but now I like my more unique name.
