I live on on of those streets that just has a little bit of road then a round about at the end, and some new people just moved in yesterday. Lexie and I went over to say hello to them with Tess from next door and her 3 year old Samorja (pronounced Sha-moy-a if you wanted to know). So we were talking to our new neighbour Veronica for awhile while Lexie and Samorja were running around. I asked if she had kids, she said yeah, so i asked what there names were..
anyway, she has 5 girls, and 11 year old called Ireland, a 9 year old called Africa, twin 6 year olds Russia and Rome and a 3 year old called Morocco.
I thought it was interesting, she named all her kids after countrys. I dont know why though...
I've never heard of anyone naming there kids Russia, Rome or Morocco. I've met a girl called Africa and a few Ireland's before..

Shouldn't Rome have been "Italy????"

Lets hope we never go to war with any of those places!

I think it's interesting but I would never do it..

I thought Rome was a country lol..well, nearly all of them are named after countries..
Veronica invited me over this morning, Lexie and Morocco seem to get on quite well. I said hello to Ireland and she told me never to call her Ireland, everyone called her Andy.

Very Interesting....hmm...

As for Ireland's prefered name, I think it could possibly come from the last three letters (e.g. IrelANDY).

Thanks for sharing.

just as a clarification, Africa isn't a country either. I've never met an Ireland, but I think it's a pretty name. Hopefully, she doesn't name her next Yugoslavia, or Czechoslovakia.

I have never heard of any of those names. Except for Kim Basinger's daughter, Ireland. It's different, but I don't think I'd do it.
