I am the only child that my mom named. She let my grandmother (my dad's mom) name both of my older sisters.
Their names are Michelle Lee and Leanne Marie. I like Michelle & Leanne together, but I think their full names are too close. Their initials are flip-flopped, and my oldest sister's middle name is the same as the beginning of my other's sister's first name.
And I ended up being Erica Beth.....
Who named you? Do you know what your name would have been if you were the opposite sex?
My mom named me. She just asked my dad whether he hated it.
She didn't have a name chosen for a boy. I MIGHT have been David, Jr. But that's unlikely, since my aunt had just had a boy and named him David without considering that there would be TWO David Frelich's. Let alone asking whether they'd wanted to name a son David, Jr.
I would more likely have been James, after my grandfather, since he had died the year before I was born.
My dad. He named both me and my brother. My mom didn't have a name picked out for my other brother so one of the nurses said he looked like a Jeffrey so that's what she went with She gave him his mn though.
My dad named my older sister, and my mom named me (Rebecca because she liked the name and Jacklynn, Jack after my grand-father, her dad and Lynn after her). I don't know what they would've named me had I been of the opposite sex but I know they were also considering the name Mallory...
