The name itself is cute but I can name like 5 Briana's right off the top of my head so to me it is waaaay too popular.

It's ok .
I definitely prefer it pronounced Bree-On-Uh rather than Bree-Ann-Uh .

I know like five of them, so it is WAY to common.

And it really irks me when some mom will sit there and tell me it's Irish. Uh ... no. It's made-up to SOUND Irish. And Edmund Spencer (the author who first made it up) pronounced it BREE-uh-nah. I mean, really. It's a mispronunciation of a made-up name, and that is awful IMO.

I like it- when I was in HS I had a friend who was tall skinny, blonde, blah blah blah named Brianna, so good association for me

I also know a beautiful little girl named Bryanna

I think it's a great name, but I prefer Breanna "Bree-on-uh"

(sorry, couldn't resist!)

Oh, and it wasn't popular when I was born. Pfft.
