Cheyne pronounced as Shane. WDYT of the way its spelled? More for a girl or boy? I saw this on a boy on TV today....I absolutely do not like it for a boy or girl. Shane looks fine on a boy though. I just never thought of it as a girls name.

CHEYNE? I did not even think Shane. I thought someone left some important letters out of Cheyenne!

That spelling is so cutesy it makes me a little woozy. Absolutely not. If someone must use it, though , it looks like a girl to me.

I've seen it spelt this way before and I thought it was Cheyanne. I much prefer Shane.

I really don't like this spelling.

I have a friend whose soon to be step-son is named Chyne (prn like Shine)... What a name!!!! (and the father had nothing to do with the mother picking out the name).

I don't like it at all. At first I thought you mispelled Cheyenne, and I think that would happen quite a bit. Shane (no matter what the spelling) is a boys name to me!
