I thought of it because I want to name our first girl Rorey. Thought it was a cute male version of something similar (dont know if I would use them both on our kids, too similar...)[/b]
I have heard of the surname "Romney" and prefer the name spelled Romney. Spelling "Romne" looks incomplete. That said, I don't really like the name since it's very much a surname and I personally prefer not using surnames as 1st names.
I also agree with pp that Rory is a better name for a boy than a girl. I do think using both Rory and Romney would be too similar for siblings.
