Hey, I'm Melanie.
I have no children and I'm not planning to in the near future, but I absolutely adore names.
I am very picky about names that I like and I have my own style.
I don't like common, overused, and meaningless names. I don't like surnames as first names and I don't like -son names on girls. I would rather use feminine names on boys than masculine names on girls. Girls are just too lovely to name harsh, masculine names.
I love vibrant, unique names that are spelled correctly. I love Old Hollywood-esque names with a traditional twist. I like some modern names, but nothing –leigh or –lee. I like picking names to honor relatives, but I also believe in a child having it's own name and identity. I'm a bookworm at heart and love to find names through literature. I have such a long list of favorite names at any given time that it's hard to keep up. I have already chosen names for future children that I'm not going to have for years.
For girls, Audrey Jane, Dahlia Elise, Sophia Lenore, Linnea Grace, Olivia Maren, and Eliana Maeve.
For boys, Julian David, Oliver Rhys, Adrian Sebastian, and Liam Vaughn.
Here's my list (not including names mentioned above):
Girls: Catherine, Amelia, Eva, Catalina, Cristina, Talia, Meredith, Julia, Jillian, Deirdre, Fiona, Melina (Mina), and Aurelia.
