Is Addison completely unusable as a boy's name now that so many girls are being names this? I really love it for a boy but I'm afraid it's totally gone to the girls ......WDYT?

I think people will automatically think GIRL now.
I don't like it on EITHER gender though

If you're in the US, I think it has definitely gone to the girls. If it doesn't bother you that there would probably be girls named this in his class, I'd still use it though. I think it's a nice name for either gender.

I think it can work for either gender. As long as you're comfortable with it it won't matter if girls share it too!

I tend to like it more as a girl's name, but here in Illinois there are lots of boys and girls who have this name since Wrigley Field where the Cubs play is on a street called Addison. So, lots of fans name their kids this.

I think this name works great for BOTH genders and I don't think people will automatically assume girl. I know a 5 year old little boy named Addison.... his older brother is Whitney

I love the name Addison for a girl. I've never known it to be a boy's name.

I know "son" names are traditionally for boys, but Addison is sooo popular right now for a girl. Kids growing up now are likely to see it as a girls name. I think for some reason that it is easier for a girl to pull off a name that is seen as a boys name than it is for a boy to pull off a "girls" name. Reminds me of that song "A Boy named Sue"

Addison to me is all boy...I think it has such a harsh sound for a girl....There are not that many names that I just flat out don't like but this is one of them.
