Our little girl is due in a week and we have chosen the name Adeline Scarlett.

What do you think? Do you know many Adelines? I've looked up its popularity and it seems to be somewhat popular, but I've never known anyone by this name.

I just hope that she does not marry someone with a last name that starts with S. Our last name starts with a V so it's no problem for now B)

LOL at the thought of her marry a guy with an "S" last name....she might just have to hyphenate!

I think it's beautiful. I LOVE Scarlett. DH and I actually considered for this pregnancy, but we are having a boy. I've never thought of Adeline (or heard of any), but it is beautiful and I think they go great together! It's refreshing break from all the really girly girl names.

I would probably like this name if it weren't my 70 something year old Aunt's name. It is pretty though.

I love Scarlett.
I used to love Adeline, until I came to this site.
I have a friend named Addy Rose, but I don't know any Adelines.

I think it is a beautiful, classic, timeless name. I like the way it flows together also. Beautiful choice. I have never met anyone with that name.

I love it! And most people are naming their girls Addison rather than the feminine and lovely Adeline, so for you.

Will you pronounce it Add-a-leen or Add-a-line?
