This isn't even a name. It's just the word Heaven spelled backwards. No one knows exactly how it's suppose to be pronounced because it's just a made-up "name". I really, really dislike it.[/b]

Well, I would argue that since it is the name on the birth certificate for many little girls...it is, in fact, a name. The name is personally NMS. I do love how Britanie uses the nn Vae. Very cute.

Its too gimmicky for me. I really don't like that the pronunciation doesn't follow the rules of phonics.

The first time I heard this name I really liked it and thought it was very meaningful. However, it's lost it's beauty of being unique because it's too overused.

I really really really dislike it... Especially since it seems every friend of a friend seems to be naming their baby Nevaeh....

My daughter Lexi LOVES this name...everytime someone asks me if we have names picked out she quickly replies with yes, my sissy will be named NEVAEH!! LOL...I like it & would probably use it for a middle name but Aaron doesn't like it at all....

I know no Nevaehs

I think it's just overly popular in the US right now , no one around here is naming their babies Nevaeh .

I don't call her Nevaeh , we only call her Vae (and several other lil nicknames) .

LOL at the dishwasher name!

I think Nevaeh is pretty and I've never met anyone named this or known anyone (IRL) to name a child Nevaeh. I've only heard the name online.

ETA: I just checked the SSN site and this was the 70th most popular name in the US last year. Apparently I live under a rock, LOL. It wasn't even in the top 1000 names till 2001, so it has become pretty popular over a short period of time. Being popular doesn't detract from the beauty of a name though, IMO. I don't necessarily want to use a name that's very common, but that doesn't mean it's not a pretty name.

I really dislike this name.

It looks mispelled. The phonic sounds of the name do have a pretty ring to them... I would spell the name Nevaya or something similar to that. However, as someone pointed out that would cause the "name" to lose its "meaning."

Personally, I feel if so many people want to name their daughters Heaven - why don't they just name them Heaven. Turning a word backwards isn't that clever a trick.

P.S. To Britanie - From your siggy I thought your daughter's full name was Vae, and I really like it as a nickname also. It's short, cute and full of personality.

Wow I can't believe I've never heard of this name! I like the pronunciation but not the spelling.
