DF and I have been thinking a lot about names. I like really classic names that you don't hear a lot nowadays. He likes more common names. But, I think we've come to an agreement on a few (although I have to admit I pulled a little more weight!). A lot are family names, mixed with regular names.

Boys:
James Dixon (to be called Dixon) Gaines
Holt Sterling Gaines
Caldwell Lee Gaines
Miles Addison Gaines
William Stone (to be called Stoney) Gaines
Lennox Holmes (to be called Knox) Gaines
Edward Fielding (to either be called Ed or Field?) Gaines

Girls:
Chandler Grace Gaines
Millie Elizabeth Gaines
Mary Delia (double name) Gaines
Kelsey Cade Gaines
Ann Michael (double name) Gaines
Amelia Lee Gaines
Adelaide Ross Gaines
London Abigail Gaines

None of these are final -- just would like some feedback. I know we have unique (or rather weird) taste, but feedback would be greatly appreciated!

A lot of unique names, which I love! I ended up going with a unique name for my daughter too, as I didn't want her to be 1 out of 5 Abigail's or Madison's in her class - kwim? My only thought is that Chandler sounds more masculine than feminine.

As far as the boy names... I would have to go with James Dixon. I think that is unique and would sound well as Dixon Gaines.
I'm not fond of the others but especially the Miles Addison...Addison is becoming very feminine here lately, and I would be afraid, even as a middle name, he would get made fun of. I love your guys' creativity with names

As far as girls...I wouldnt think Chandler would be a feminine name...first thing i think of is the character on friends thats married to Monica Same with Ann-Michael...too masculine. I absolutely love Millie Elizabeth. Let us know on what you decide

Thanks for all the feedback! We still haven't 100% decided, but yalls feedback has helped us narrow it down. I'll get back with you all when we decide

And Mummy2B, DF said the same thing -- my great grand-father was named Addison, so I tried to rationalize it, but I guess times have changed. God forbid I ever give my child a name they would be made fun of for. I would feel horrible!

C_Robinson -- definitely PM me when you're ready! I would love to help!

Amelia Lee, definately.
I like William Stone the best. I'm not loving Stone or Stoney but I love the name William!
