I'm thinking I might use Amalia Elise as a name if I ever have two girls and have some questions.

First, what do you think?

Second, do you think it sounds alright with Oliver, Jonas, Elliot and Rivka?

Finally, What nn would you use for Amalia? For me, Amy is out due to bad associations, and I can't use Molly/ Mali because we call my son Ollie...

Thanks!

I really like it (though my favorite version of the name is Amelie, like the movie, it doesn't flow with Elise). I think it fits with your other kids pretty well.

I personally wouldn't nickname it, but what about Lia?

Ollie is so adorable.
I think Amalia stands out so dramatically.
But, I would call an Amalia by 'Lia'. (Lee-uh)
I don't really like it, but I love Elise!

First, what do you think? Neither name is really my style, but together they sound really good.

Second, do you think it sounds alright with Oliver, Jonas, Elliot and Rivka? I think it sounds okay with the names.

Finally, What nn would you use for Amalia? Probably Mali

I love Amalia. What about the nn Mia since you have all the right sounds in her full name? Or you could do Mel or Mellie.

I like the name, very pretty (would nn her lia as well) though this name for me has funny associations...a girl called malia who used to go to my school...every single maths lesson all you would hear from the teacher "Malia put the pen down" became a running joke among us...
