Love it! If I have 2 dd's this will be the seconds middle name.

I like Elise, Elisa, Lissa, Ella, Ellie and Lissy as nick names.

I love it, its classic and strong, the Elisabeth spelling makes it softer too. I would use Ella or Ellie as a nickname.

I like it but it's not on my favorites list, so I doubt I'll be using it.

I don't know what nickname I would use ... probably Beth or Elisa.

I really like this name and love the "s" spelling. I'd probably call her Elle/Ella.

The "s" spelling is so much prettier and softer than the "z" spelling....I like the nn Ellie from it.

Well my name is Elisabeth. I always liked that it was different from the typical spelling. My mom named me it because she liked the name, but didnt like the nick name Liz. So i grew up as Elisabeth, or Lissie.

I prefer it spelled Elizabeth ... as far as NN's - I don't like any of them. I don't see the point in shortening a beautiful name.

I really like the name as Elisabeth is my best friend's name but she always went by Beth. She recently had her own little girl that they named Elisa but the spelling is difficult with the pronounciation. We also have a good friend with a daughter named Gabriella who has always been called Ellie. Ellie has become a much more popular and common name in the last 15 years or so (as has Ella).
