Would prefer something that's not at all common... and unfortunately I'm stuck on names that end with -a, which just don't flow as well! Ideas?

When a first and middle name both end with -a or -ia, I feel it gives a very pretty and femine sound. It's not too much IMO. (I'm actually a fan of many-syllabled names for a girl). Middle names don't have to be filler, they can be just as rich-sounding, beautiful and meaningful as the first name. Nadia is a very exotic sounding name to me, so pairing it with another somewhat exotic name makes sense. Here are some suggestions:

Nadia Serena
Nadia Helena
Nadia Sophia
Nadia Bettina
Nadia Callista
Nadia Mariska
Nadia Francesca
Nadia Carina
Nadia Poloma (means dove in Spanish)
Nadia Bella (I love how this flows)
Nadia Lucia
Nadia Mariana
Nadia Gianna

Some other suggestions... off-beat and exotic sounding middle names that don't end in -a:

Nadia Lucienne
Nadia Therese
Nadia Marielle
Nadia Dulce ("dul-chay" means sweet in Spanish)
Nadia Felice

Hope you found a combination you like!

Exactly how I feel! Possibly even just too nice for a first name (like I love Ophelia but feel that it's just a bit too strange for a first name, perfect for a middle name slot).

Sophia and Lucia are two names that I especially love... but I still worry about the flow?

I really like Nadia Sophia, I think it flows well, in my opinion.

Nadia Silver
Nadia Briar
Nadia Clover
Nadia Fern
Nadia Adelle

If you love Ophelia, why not Nadia Ophelia? The -a ending combined with th O- beginning does mess with the flow a bit, but if you really love it, then go for it.

Nadia Sophia and Nadia Lucia I think both have great flow. Both of those middle names start with consonants, plus the -ia sound in Nadia is just slightly different from th -ia sound in Sophia and Lucia. It's because the accents are on different syllables. So it sounds like:

NA-dya soPHIa
NA-dya luCIa

That's why I think it works so well! Beautiful choices!

I also thought of Nadia Catherine (double-barreled Russian name!) or Nadia Anastasia (same).

Wow, a fellow Eisbrecher fan at such a random place!

kking - Hmm, you are right. The father would love to use Sophia, and we'll definitely keep other suggestions in mind as well!
