How do you pronounce Leila? Is it like Layla, or like Lila?
I would pronounce it like Layla, because of the "lei" part, but when I look at it I see it like Leila!

My first attempt is usually like Layla. Several times I've been told it was like Lila, though, and once even that it was like Leela.

I would NOT prn this Layla or Lila.... I prn. this Lee-EYE-la because it is a good friend's name, she is named after her grandmother... and this is how it is pronounced. I guess it is just what I'm used to since we've been friends for about 12 years.

My first guess if I saw that name is "Lay-la". But because of all the possible mis-pronounciations that is why I chose to go with Layla. I didn't want people saying "is it lee-la, li-la, lay-la?"
