Caterina/Catalina - I like Caterina much more than Catalina. Which do you prefer (just of those two)? What are your impressions of them?
Vittoria - Would you assume I unknowingly misspelled/mispronounced Victoria and proceed to say/write Victoria, or would you have already known Vittoria was a legitimate name on its' own? Alternatively, would you think I'd misspelled/mispronounced it, but go along my spelling and pronunciation anyway?
I prefer the soft 'l' or Catalina over the harsher 'r' or Caterina. I picture Caterina as a smart but hard person. She looks like your average American. Catalina would be sweet, kind and exotic looking.
I would know that Vittoria is a name in its own right (especially if her siblings were Dante and Niccolo!)
I've never seen Vittoria before but I would not assume you spelled Victoria wrong. Maybe just uniquely altered it.
I like Caterina but spelled with a K, Katerina. The nn Kat is cute.
Catalina does sound more exotic but it also sounds like a company that deals fruit or something. Basically my first thought was Chiquita. Only with cantaloupes or something. Sorry I am just so weirdddddd! Forgive my oddball brain.
Catalina makes me think of Spain, but geographically, not culturally. (I hope that made sense!).
Caterina is more my style. I do prefer spelling Katerina.
Vittoria, I have known one from Eastern Europe, it seems many people do know this is a "real" name!
I don't like Vittoria. Definitely would think it looks like a misspelled Victoria.
Catalina reminds me of the dressing. But i do like it better than Catarina. After the initial reminding of the dressing Catalina is very nice.
