Ignore my baby name poll...we've changed middle names...

We're going 100% with William as a middle name (family name on DH side, he's deadset on it)

Here were my boy choices....

Liam
Lennox
Lennon
Landon
Lucas
Gabriel
Sebastian

I do NOT do nicknames for my children and suggest to family and strangers that they have real first name and that's what they go by...So I don't worry about nicknames.

I do not like mainstream names that are in the top 25. No Aiden's Braydens or Caden's for me. I like old fashion names, last names as first names, and unique names.

Any suggestions?

I would stay far away from Landon if you don't want anything that will be in the top 25 soon. I am seeing a Landon/Landen in the birth announcements every week, and it's very similar to Camden/Kamden too!

Lucas is nice, especially since most people just use it as a middle name. Most with that fn are called Luke. So he would definitely stand out, even if there were another Lucas at his school (since the other would probably be called Luke).

My other favorite on your list is Gabriel ... I hear people say a Gabriel would be made fun of, but there was a Gabriel in my high school class and nobody ever made fun of him at all. Not even when we were really young.

Sebastian is nice too but everyone says that now. I'm starting to hear it a lot more often.

I think I would pick Gabriel William.

I think Landon William sounds really nice!! Don't go with Liam William : ) Two of the same name. I like Lucas a lot too. But Luke comes really easily with that. Landon is best because you don't wanna automatically nickname him ya know?

I have never ever heard of Liam as a NN for William. Is that something new? I've asked a ton of people and they'd never heard of it either. Strange.

My husband keeps saying Lennox William....but everyone else hates it (who cares!) So I dunno, that may be our pick....We'll see!!

Not only is Liam a nickname for William, but it's the Irish form of William.
Haha, don't name him Liam William.

What's even better than Liam William is that I saw someone that named their son Ian Johann.
Ian and Johann are forms of John. Ian is the Scottish form and Johann is the German form.
His name is literally John John in two different languages.

I really like Lennox, Gabriel and Sebastian.
