I like it, but probably wouldn't use it since Lane/ Lanie is used a lot for girls around here.

I like it, but it does sound more feminine whereas Lake or Laken sounds more masculine to me (I like those too!)

I like Lane a lot...but for a girl. Lake is great too...but again, I think of a girl

I don't mind Lane on a girl but I love the name/nickname Lainey for a girl.

My best friend's name is Lane. She was always assigned to the boys' PE class all through school. People always assume she's a boy because of her name. I can't think of it any other way than for a girl, though. I like the name, but I think it would make a better mn for a boy.
