I like it! It's unique...what would you choose for a middle name?

BTW- I agree with Amazing...love the new pic! You're gorgeous! (And you had the most beautiful wedding dress ever! Except for mine of course!!! )

I would probably want to spell it Aliah or something just to get rid of the Elijah association. Otherwise I love it!

You know, I just had a funny association with this name. One of my favorite movies from adolescence was Clueless. At one point Cher gets held up in a parking lot and mugged. The mugger is making her lay down on the groud so he can run away. She goes, "Oh no... this is an Aliah." He goes, "An a-what-a?" She goes, "It's like a totally important designer" (meaning her dress). And he goes, "And I will totally shoot you in the head." It's just about the darkest moment of the whole movie LOL. I knew this name sounded familiar to me.

Anyway, random aside over, back to the regular thread.

LOL that scene is the first thing that popped into my head (my favourite scene), I'm studying the movie for English...I'm already sick of it though. I mean 6 times in a week? stupid assesment tasks...anyway the names ok, I like it to an extent.

Kyle! It seems like we have a similar taste in names! I didn't remember that from Clueless...

Melissa- My dress was very different from yours...you are just so beautiful!! I wish I had a picture to post, but I don't have any digital. It was 2001...before digital went HUGE! It was cream, ball gown style...I just loved it. Once my mother-in-law is done making the quilt for my brother-in-law's upcoming wedding, she is going to make it into a blanket for me....then I can look at it everyday!

kking--I hadn't remembered that part of Clueless...too funny!!!!! (Love the name Kyle, btw!!)

Wow, you can make a dress into a quilt?! I didn't know you could do that! That's really cool, especially since mine is just sitting in a bag now. I've been bebating whether or not to keep it. I got it at Davids Bridal. It was only $399.

Hehehe. Thanks! Although I could go into vast detail about why a parent should think long and hard before choosing an opposite-sex name for their kid. It has caused quite a bit of trouble for me in my life, along with the pro's of being a cool, unique and memorable name.

ETA: I think my name is why I am now obsessed with names and hence why I hang out here often!

Mine is in a bag too (also David's Bridal, but not $399 ) and it breaks my heart...I just love it and want to see it everyday!!!! If you know someone who quilts/sews they may be able to do something with it....its worth a shot. That way you can keep it, but not feel like you have $400 hanging in the closet!

DH would never go for it...I would imagine, however, it could be troublesome in life to have an opposite-sex name. I live in the South and I'm often surprised at how many male Stacey's and Lindsay's I meet!
