Are there names that you like the look of written down, but hate the sound of? Or love the sound of but don't like written down?

Cordelia is one of these for me. I love the way it sounds, but for some reason, I think it looks kind of weird written down. Maybe it's the R and D back-to-back.

Alistair is another. I think it looks great written down, but I can't make myself love it when I say it out loud.

Do you have certain names like that?

I know exactly what you're talking about.

I love names with many 'y's written down but when I say them out loud they sound ridiculous.

I like to write Lucy, it's pretty.

Speaking of 'y's, Gwyneth looks really strange written, but I love the sound.

YES! I love, love the sound of the girl's name Solome (prn Soll-oh-may). However, the way it's spelled would quickly turn into Salami in any 2nd grade class, and I just couldn't put my kid through that.

I know there are some but I'm having a hard time thinking of them......

I like the way Sierra/Ciara sounds but I'm not fond of the spellings, I'm not sure why. I also like how Elijah sounds but I don't like the way its written.. I think Aaliyah is so pretty but don't like any of the spellings (Aleah, Aliyah, etc.).
