Ok. My husband and I LOOVE the name Owen and its the only name we can agree on BUT it kind rhymes with our last name which we didn't think was too bad at first but now it kinda sounds weird and our parents all think its bad too. UGH. What do you think of rhyming names? and any names you can suggest? i've looked at every list everywhere I swear and we can't find anything.

It's hard to say without actually knowing your last name, but I just wanted to say that I think Landen and Owen sound great together as siblings.

Is there a way you could maybe rhyme something with your last name so that way you don't give away your last name, but we could hear the full name?? I really like the name Landon..but our last name is Andrews... so it's like Landon Andrews... but it's growing on me... and the people I have asked say it's not too bad... I don't know... it's hard with a boy because it's their name forever!! For a girl, I'd say go for it !!! = )

It would be like if his last name was say Rowman. I add the "w" only because our last name has one as well and I think it effects the look of the name as well. WDYT?

I'd say it might rhyme a little too much. (I LOVE the name Landon BTW ) What about:

Ethan
Evan
Logan
Oliver
Brayden/Braden
Holden
Hayden

HTH!

I luv the name Owen, I don't think it matters that it rhymes a lil with your last name.

I probably wouldn't use it if it rhymed too much. I love names that start with BR, but our last name starts with BR so they are out. On the other hand, sometimes names that rhyme are easier to remember.

Some other ideas:
Tate
Reid
Brody
Max
Cade
Bryce
Brock
Wyatt
Zane
Blake
Spencer
Cole
Mark
Preston
Dean
Scott

I see your last name in your poll, it doesn't sound too rhymy to me when you say it together.

Owen Bowen would be really bad, but it sounds fine with your surname (the one on the poll).

Oh - i see your last name too! I am going to disagree though and say it does sound like a tongue twister to me. Imagine him trying to say that in Kindergarten!
