I love the name Ella for a little girl (we find out in two weeks). We are pretty set on Micah Doyle for a boy (Doyle is my maiden name).

Ella is part of my great-grandmother's name and I thought it was different and special (although I just found out it was on the top 100 as number 24 in 2004, grrr. . . I don't like popular names, but I also don't like wierd) my middle name choices are. . .

Ella Elizabeth (dear, dear friend, and also a family name)
Ella Roxanne (Roxanne after another great-grandmother)
Ella Michelle (after my sister, her middle name)
What do you think???

If we had a girl we were going to name her Ella Jane after my BF's grandmother. I've also always loved Ella Rose. I think I like Ella Roxanne the best out of your choices, though.

Oh you guys, thank you for your input!! I still don't have a decision, but now I have two more to add to the mix. I can't believe Ella Jane and Ella Rae were mentioned. Jane is my mom's middle name, and Rae is short for Rachel, my sister's name (Michelle is her middle name). We'll have to think about those. We may go to the hospital knowing Ella but have to decide on the middle name there! I don't know. Who knows, (only God) it may be Micah Doyle and all of this is for nothing! That would be ok too!!! Less than two weeks until I know! Any more suggestions?? I'm open!

I've always liked:
Ella Claire, Ella Kate, Ella Ann
(and because Ella is a short first name, a longer mn would suite too)
Ella Madison, Ella Breanne.
I think Ella Jane is adorable! Ella Rae and Ella Mae are cute too.
Good luck!

I've added Ella Christine to the possibilities. I am a Phantom of the Opera fan, and so are my children. I think its a pretty name, and so I've thrown it into the possibilities. I don't know, I'm driving myself crazy!!!

I love Ella Jane and Ella Rose!

I wouldn't go with Ella Michelle or Ella Elizabeth, because the "ell" sound is in both.
