We know that we want to name the baby if it's a boy, Benjamin, but we haven't decided on a middle name. I either want to name him Benjamin Richard after his father, or Benjamin James after his grandfather. I really like the way Benjamin James sounds, but I REALLY want to avoid having a boy with the initials of "BJ". I'm just hoping that if we do decided on that name people wouldn't notice since it's a middle name. What do you think? Which one do you like better?

Benjamin Richard Lee
Benjamin James Lee

I think Benjamin James fits together better. I wouldn't worry too much about the initials. It would probably be worse for a girl to have those initials.

I like Benjamin James the best. I doubt people would really even pay much attention to the initials. One of the names DH wants for a boy would make him have initials PBJ!

I love the name Benjamin. I wouldn't worry about the initials too much. Either mn would work.

I like Benjamin James better, but when you add Lee(is this last name or second m/n?) I think Benjamin Richard Lee flows better. I do like them both, but like I said, when you add Lee, Richard sounds better. And, I agree with the others, dont worry about initials-before I got married(2.5 montsha go) mine were ARF(like a dog in case you dont get it-some people dont).

I guess I am anal. The initials would kill me there. My family always figures out initials when I give them name suggestions. I would pass on the BJ. Kids are cruel. I love the name Benjamin though.

Now thsi is my opinion, please don't get mad at me, guys!

I like James better too. And it's not like he's going to go around telling everyone his middle name... and that you can get BJ out of it. lol. So You shouldn't worry about that.

I like Benjamin James. Very strong. Very masculine!

His initials will be BJL though - I just really can't see it being an issue. Maybe if his last name started with a "J" it would be a bigger issue but I can't see little kids associating bj with that.

I like Benjamin James Lee better! If our daughter who is due anytime soon, winds up being a boy - were thinking Benjamin Jeremiah or Benjamin Ted
