I like it, but I said it could be both. I also like it as a nickname for something, like Isabella, Annabella, or Gabriella.

I don't think it's a dogs name at all! Just because I have dogs named Jack and Jayla doesn't mean that they are forever branded with "dog name" haha.

ANYTHING can be a dogs' name! My dad's childhood dog was named Henry; does that mean it's no good for people now? DF had a dog named Tabitha when he was a teenager. Should Tabitha be considered off-limits?

Good, solid names shouldn't be crossed off the list just because so-and-so once had a roommate whose grandma's neighbor's dog went to the same vet as a cat named Rose or whatever. People are weird.

As long as you personally never had a pet named Bella, I don't think it's a problem. My little fur balls are like kids to me so I would never be able to use their names on 'real' children...that would be wierd. In general though, I don't think of a dog when I hear Bella.

I think it's a good HUMAN name.

It would make a good dog name, but I wouldn't have even thought of that if you hadn't said it.

I prefer it as a nickname though.

To me, I think it's a NN for Isabella. Yes, I've heard it for dogs, but I don't automatically think of a dog when I hear it.

I think it's a good name. I wouldn't use just Bella. Maybe Isabella/Annabella/Gabriella?

I love the name Bella, but would probably only use it as a NN for Isabella or Annabelle (or something along those lines). I do not think it sounds like a dog's name although I have seen dogs with this name before. Then again I have seen dogs with all kinds of "human" names so it doesn't matter.

I think Bella suits a pet or a Disney princess the best.
