Ok, I'll be honest. Emma and Olivia are beautiful names. I do like the names themselves. What I DON'T like is how popular they've become. I hear them so much, I'm tired of them. If popularity doesn't matter, or if you WANT a popular name, then go for it.

I don't care for the flow. When you say it out loud, it's awkward. "EmmUH OHlivia." It's very awkward saying the 2 vowel sounds together. I guess that's just one of my pet peeves, LOL. Kind of like Anna Olivia, Lily Elizabeth, Emily Elizabeth, etc. Saying all those vowels together is very awkward. (EmilEE EElizabeth) KWIM?

But then again, it just might be me! LOL

(according to the ss website, Emma ranked #2, and Olivia ranked #7 in 2006)

I love the names by themselves, but not together...I'm not crazy about both first and middle names ending with the same sound like EmmA OliviA. I'd say pick one and find a different middle name...I personally prefer Olivia.

Olivia Saige
Olivia Fae or Faith
Olivia Reece

or

Emma Gabrielle
Emma Jacqueline
Emma Lee (heheh) I like when ppl do sort of a play on words like that

I think they sound good together! I love Olivia, but I do agree about the ending and starting with a vowel. Something like Emma Sierra would sound better to me.

i dont like all those, just throwing them out, I pulled them from a babyname site

More names that get the nickname Emma:

Emmeline
Emilia
Emmanuelle

Esmeralda (kind of a stretch, but I think it could work)
