What do you think of the name Karabeth? It was suggested to me the other day and I am not sure how I feel about it yet. I like how it combines my grandmother and my husbands grandmothers names (Karen and Elizabeth). The other names we are trying to use are Rosemary and Mary. I thought if I used Karabeth it would be Karabeth Marie. What do you think? Any other ideas on how to use the names?

Karabeth is different, but I like it...you could use Kara as a nn, or Beth.
It's a nice one.

It is a very pretty name and love the way it honors both grandparents. It goes well with Marie as well. It sounds like a winner to me!

I like the fact it has so much meaning. You could also use it as a middle name.

I like it! We are combining names as well..
There is a poster here (Tarabeth). You could ask her what's she's felt about her name and if she had any problems with people

Hi! I'm jumping in from the Aug07 PR! -- My daughters name is Kara Elizabeth, and we call her Karabeth. Her name means "Our Precious Promise of God" (Kara means "precious one, cherished one, beloved one", and Elizabeth means "Promise of God") Which has a lot of significance for us! I love the name, and [seemingly] so does everyone who hears it. Good choice!

BTW, Karabeth Marie is precious.

I like it because it has personal meaning for you.

To honor both you can also use the letters from their names and rearrange them

Karen and Elizabeth

Aria
Reina
Kate
Erin
Anabel

I think Karabeth is pretty in its own rite, and the fact that it has so much meaning makes it even better. My name is the same kind of blend of both my grandmothers' names.

I have a good friend who named her daughter after both grandmothers.... her name is Abilena Paris. Unique but beautiful... esp because of the significance behind it!!
