I like this name for a boy but its seems like alot of girls are being named payton. And i don't want to have my son in a class where there are girls with his name. I think its kinda immasculating (sp?)

I voted boy, but I'm not a fan of it at all. It reminds me of "Peyton Place," which has been used as an expression to mean any place with sordid secrets, and which was also the name of an old soap opera.

Used as a first name, it reminds me of the quarterback Peyton Manning, which makes it seem masculine to me.

I think it's for either a girl or a boy.

I voted either. I know a boy and a girl named Payton.
