I like it for a first name, but it does seem like filler in the middle.

On boys, it's usually spelled Rene (with the accent on the e, which I don't know how to get here).

This name is so common. It is my mom's middle name but it is one of my least favorite names.

IMO it's a totall filler name ~ I think it was a good name for the "time" but with all the names out there, I think this would be my very LAST choice... UNLESS you are honoring someone but that would be the only reason I personally would use it.

Any quick poll of women ages 25 to 35 will show that if your middle name isn't Marie, it's Renee. OK, that's an overstatement, but honestly, it's just so common that any beauty in the sound and spelling has been lost, on me at least.
