I stumbled upon this name and fell in love right away. I love Zade as a nn for a little boy. = ) What does everyone think??

When I read Zayden, I assumed for a girl... but I guess it could work for a boy. I think it would need a masculine mn though.

I'm not a fan of -aden names (except Aidan), especially with the unnecessary y in them. Even if he's the only Zayden in his class, there will be lots of Jaydens, Aidans, Bradens, Haydens, Cadens, etc.

I agree with that part. But I like Zayden, although I'd use it for girls name more than a boys.

I love Zade, too! A girl came on the baby name boards and asked for opinions about her sons name "Zade Phoenix" or something. I hadn't heard Zade before, but I loved it! Zayden would be cool, too. I don't think it sounds too feminine, but of course, I always don't realize how feminine it sounds (my husband thinks a lot of names I like sound feminine).

I love Zayden. I know a little boy named Zayden and he is adorable. I do not like the nn Zade. I am just not usually a nickname fan anyway. :]

Totally agree with this! Zayden is a nice name on it's own, but my honest gut reaction is that it's someone trying to make up yet another -aden name. I like most of these names individually, but since these -aden names make up four out of the top five boy names, it just starts sounding so repetitive.

I like it for a boy only. I also like the name Jayden so maybe that's why I like Zayden so much! Although Zayden and Jayden are the only -aden names I like the rest I can't stand!
I also think Zade is cute....different but cute.

I prefer just Zade, to be honest. I too feel like Zayden is just a reaction to the -aden trend. Zade actually sounds different and stronger to me.

I prefer just Zade, too. I think it sounds more unique, but not too out there and more masculine. Zaden is cute too, I like it w/o the "y" in there.. that way it doesn't seem so girly. Even though my first thought was a boy's name, I think people would be less likely to make that assumption w/o the "y".
