I love the nicknames Evie/Eve/Eva but i like long traditional names so non of those are suitable as a FN choice. I like the name Evelyn, and thats the only EV name i have found that i really like. Evangeline sounds funny to me, but maybe im not pronouncing it correctly, how do you all pronounce it? I also saw someone suggest the name Evana/Evanna in a thread once but i couldnt find it on naming websites so i dont even know if it is an actual name. Also the same for Eviana, but that reminds me of Evian the water brand. The last 3 names i listed there, Evana, Evanna & Eviana also have this german vibe to them which im not keen on. Any suggestions anyone? My other deffinites are....

Amelia Katherine
Grace Alexandra
Joseph Matthew
Alexander George

So if you could find something that fits with those names that would be great, preferably long in length :-)
Thanks Ladies.

I pronounce Evangeline (uh-van-ja-leen)

Some other suggestions I like better than Evelyn:

Eveline (ev-uh-leen)
Evalina (ev-uh-leen-uh)

Evelina was my first thought, too.

Evangeline is ee-VAN-jel-in.

I knew a Genevieve called Evie, and I love that! I think Genevieve would fit with your other names. Eveline is nice too.

Hmmm im just not sure, nothing sounds right to me :-(
Eveline is pretty cute, but i would pronounce it Ev-UH-Line not Ev-UH-Leen
I dont really like Genevieve, its a bit too fussy for my liking.

Im just thinking would Eve sound ok next to Amelia & Grace....It sounds a bit incomplete next to those 2 names. ARGH!

Eve sounds fine with Amelia and Grace. I don't think it's any less complete just because it's shorter.

Yeah, Eve sounds completely fine with Amelia and Grace. IMO, Eve and Grace sound better together than Amelia and Grace. I don't think Grace looks more complete because it has two more letters. They both have only one syllable and Amelia has three.

Oh.. so the names in your siggy are just names you've picked not your children's names?

I think Eve fits with Amelia and Grace.. because common nns for those are Mia and Gracie... so Evie or just Eve fits right in.
