Ive recently been liking a new sort of name. I usually go for traditional masculine names for boys, but recently ive been liking surnames/pretentious sounding names (lol), some which end in "on". Granted most of these would only ever be considered as MN's and i like the fact that they are quite sophisticated sounding names. WDYT....

{The names in bold are the names i like more than the others and i would consider them as FN's}

Preston
Spencer
Burke
Jameson
Edward
Kingston
Harrison
Stanton
Vaughn
William
Winston
Lawrence
Everett

Preston- Love it!
Spencer- I don't like it so much. It sounds kinda sissy like.
Burke- I don't even know how I'd pronounce this one. It looks funny. Reminds me of Bark.
Jameson- I like it, but I get reminded of Jenna Jameson.
Edward- My dad's name. Sounds like an old guy!
Kingston- Cute. I think of Gwen Stefani's little boy.
Harrison- My cousins name. I like it. Sounds masculine
Stanton- I think of the college. NMS
Vaughn- I think of Vince Vaughn. Doesn't sound like a first name
William- Too old fashioned.
Winston- Sounds like a dogs name
Lawrence- Sounds too old fashioned.
Everett- I like it. Reminds me of the guy in the movie The Family Stone.

Edward and William are favorites of mine ... other than those, I think Spencer, Vaughn, and Lawrence are the ones with the most potential.

From your list, I really like Burke, Vaughn, and Everett. I also like Stanton, but would be worried about nn Stan, which I don't like so much. Jameson is cute, but I also get a Jenna Jameson association (in a bad way).

We have very much the same taste in names! I also like surnames, they're just more interesting, and seem more proper for some reason. LOL

Preston- love it
Spencer- LOVE it-it used to be on my list, except that we may use Tracy as a mn. (Spencer Tracy??? LOL)
Burke- just ok
Jameson- on my list too!
Edward-no, too old and nerdy
Kingston- just ok
Harrison-ONLY if you never call him Harry (What about Garrison?)
Stanton- reminds me of Stanton Island
Vaughn- LOVE it! What about Vann or Vance?
William-too generic, boring and overly common
Winston- like it
Lawrence-HATE this name. I don't like Larry, and it's just so nerdy to me. Sorry
Everett-Like it

My faves are Spencer, Jamison and Vaughn. Good luck!

Just so you all know, most of those names would only be considered as MN's so they wouldnt be called by any form of nickname lol.
Just for those who dislike certain nicknames.
