DH would LOVE to name this baby Cooper if it is a boy. Our DS's name is Jasper. Do you think they are too close? Seems like the "p" in both names makes it too much the same, but I wanted to ask for opinions before deciding I don't like it. Because other than that- I really love it.

Our pick before he thought of Cooper was Sawyer which is still my fave and I think it goes better with DS's name. WDYT? Does it matter or not?

My little boy will be named Cooper. My sister has an almost 3-year-old named Connor and I decided the names were two close and tried to change DH's mind several times, but Cooper is the only name he loves.

That said, I don't think Cooper and Jasper are all that similar. I think they make a cute sib set.

I don't think they're too similar, but I'd go with Sawyer because I like the sound of Sawyer and Jasper better.

I prefer Sawyer with Jasper. I have a Scott and Wyatt and we almost felt like we had to go with another TT ending name - we decided not to, but if you do have another boy you might feel the need to have another 'per'ending which can be limiting. What about Brewster? It still has the ER ending, but no P so it's less noticable as being similar. I would never have thought of the name Brewster but my son has the cutest friend named Brewster in his preschool class. His parents call him 'Brew' for short.

thanks- that makes me feel better. I guess if we go either way it will be ok. I still love them both and it is going to be hard to decide between them!

If we ended up with a third and a little girl we could name her Harper! eh! That may be too much I am afraid..by the way that was only a joke!
