A friend and I were discussing two name names like Anna Claire, Mary Beth, etc. She really doesn't like them, and I kinda do even though I think it's trendy right now. What do you think about them and would you or have you used them for your children?? If you like them, what are your favorites?

That's very common in my area.

Sometimes they can seem "country bumpkin", like Billy Bob or Mary Lou (I think both of those using nicknames as part of the name adds to the effect, too). But if you use more "modern" names, or classic names, like your example of Anna Claire, they can seem really refreshing. Other combinations that give the same kind of feel would be Lily Grace, Hannah Faith, Ava Hope, etc.

Personally I think those kinda names are cute...but then I am biased since I have one myself. I don't think I would use them though unless I just fell in love with one.

I dont usually care for them. It reminds me of large catholic families. And even though I like some mentioned above, like Hannah Faith, Ava Hope, I think they would end up being Hannah or Ava.

I think I prefer just one name with a middle name. But I do kinda think Mary-Kate is cute, so maybe I'd like another one.

I like some of them, some of them I think sound a little 'hick'-ish. I like Anna Claire and Mary Kate. I also like the old fashioned ones like Marianne (Mary Anne) and Rosemary which aren't really two first names but sound like it.
