Does it sound more like a boy or girl name to you? I know it's more popular for boys right now, but my hubby says it only sounds like a girls name. There is also a girl on the show "Heroes" named Hayden Panettiere.

honestly, the only person I know named Hayden is a girl, so it seems like a girls name to me but I know it's alot more popular for boys.

All girl to me. I know a guy about 19/20 named Hayden and it's always sounded girly to me. My friend has an absolutely gorgeous 16-month old daughter, Hayden Anneliese. I've considered Hayden as well (she lives in another state so it wouldn't really be a problem).

I like Hayden for either sex. I don't think it sounds girly but I also don't think it's ultra masculine sounding. I think it's a nice name just kind of middle of the road.

DH has a little cousin named Hayden and he is all boy - so I never really thought about it till the girl on Heroes. But really I like it for either. The girl that cut my DS's hair the other day was named Hayden.

It's very gender neutral to me. I know both boys and girls named Hayden and it fits them all. I love the name!!

I know boys and girls and it fits them both. I have considered it for a boy and a girl.

I like it for both genders, but I think most people will automatically think any Hayden is a boy.
