I'd never heard this name before.. I heard a mom call her (about) 12 year old daughter over to her.. she called her:

Anathena

I don't know if that's spelled right, but it sounded like ANNA THENA... like Anna and Athena combined. At first I thought it was kind of silly, but I've been thinking about it all day and it actually DOES sound like a name now. Not saying I like it, but at least it sounds like a name.. more so than say.. Apple.

So what do YOU think?

I definitely think it sounds like a name, but I'm not too fond of it.

It's a good effort in that it does have syllables taken from real names. That always sounds better to me and more "like a real name" than random letters stuck together, kwim?

It's too close to the word Anathema in my opinion.

I like it... but I'd never use it.

I prefer just Athena.

Yikes, all I thought of was the word anathema, hope she wasn't calling her kid that!
